Of course, choosing the best garment steamers isn’t exactly straightforward, especially if you don’t really know what it is that you should be looking for. In order to help you choose a garment steamer, we have tested and reviewed some of the best. Please read on below for more information.

Pros:
- 3 different steam levels so you control the power.
- Very good amount of continuous steam.
- Telescopic pole makes steaming easier.
Cons:
- It isn’t great for pressing shirts.
The Review
The first model that we wanted to add to our list as a potential candidate for the best garment steamer is this one from Excelvon. This garment steamer is a little different to most of the others that we have tested, so we were quite intrigued by the design.
The first thing that we really liked about this one is that it has a telescopic pole. This made steaming clothes so much easier as we were able to hang them from the pole whilst steaming. We also really liked the fact that there are 3 different steam levels to choose from which was particularly beneficial when we steamed more stubborn fabrics.
We were also impressed by the amount of continuous steam that you get. We were able to get around 38 minutes of steam each time we filled the tank which is actually quite a lot compared to some of the other models that we tested. We tried steaming multiple types of fabrics and the one that we did have issues with was shirts.
We found that this garment steamer wasn’t really effective in this case. However, for a steamer that can be taken with you on your travels and the amount of steam that you get per tank, we would definitely recommend it.
2. Jiffy Travel Steamer
Features: 600w – 1 Steam Level – 15 Minutes of Continuous Steam – 998g
Pros:
- Perfect for those who travel regularly and need to take a steamer.
- Very easy to use thanks to the basic design.
- Very lightweight.
Cons:
- Quite expensive for such a basic design.
- There is no adjustable steam level.
The Review
Given that garment steamers are mainly used by those who travel frequently, we wanted to see if we could find the best travel garment steamer and we settled on this model from Jiffy. What we really liked about this one is the basic design. There are no complicated menus to navigate and it is very easy to use.
Another plus point with this steamer is the weight of it. At only 998g, it is incredibly lightweight which meant no extra luggage weight and also meant that it was much easier to use for longer periods of time. Although you only get 15 minutes of continuous steam with this one, we still found that this was plenty enough time to steam an entire outfit.
There were a couple of drawbacks with this steamer that are worth mentioning. First of all, we felt that it was a little expensive considering it is such a basic design. As well as this, we felt that it was a shame that there is only one steam level to choose from. If it was adjustable it would be much better. However, it is ideal for those who need something lightweight that is good for traveling with.

The Review
This Fridja garment steamer takes the number one slot on our list of the best garment steamers today. There are so many positive points that we felt that it definitely earned its place. The first thing that we really liked was how quickly the steamer heats up to produce steam. It was much faster than any of the others that we tested.
